Calculated is a first noise amount corresponding to a first exposure time, and is a second noise amount corresponding to a second exposure time (S203). The first exposure time is made to be long so that the first noise amount may become smaller than a threshold value, and the second exposure time is made to be long so that the second noise amount may become smaller than the threshold value (S204). In the case where a high resolution mode is ON, a plurality of images are imaged by each carrying out, once within a prescribed period, imaging in the first exposure time before adjustment and imaging in the second exposure time after adjustment. In the case where the high resolution mode is OFF, a plurality of images are imaged by each carrying out, not less than once, imaging in the first exposure time after adjustment and imaging in the second exposure time after adjustment.
