Abstract:
To provide an imaging apparatus and an imaging apparatus control method capable of improving the quality of a blurred image.
The imaging apparatus comprises: an interchangeable lens 2 comprising a diaphragm 23; an imaging device 101 which outputs an image signal; an electronic blurring circuit 78 which electronically blurs a captured image corresponding to the image signal; and a main control unit 62 which determines from imaging conditions whether the captured image can be optically blurred, controls the diaphragm to optically blur the captured image when optical blurring is possible, and controls the electronic blurring circuit to electronically blur the captured image when optical blurring is not possible.
