PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that allows a moving photographic subject to be photographed in consideration of an angle of view or exposure time desired by a user and a movable range of a blurring correction mechanism.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided which includes imaging means photographing a subject image formed by an imaging optical system and outputting image data. The imaging apparatus further includes: blurring correction means that has a prescribed movable range and optically corrects a blurring of the subject image; drive means that drives the blurring correction means; angle-of-view setting means that sets an angle of view of the subject image; velocity determination means that determines a movement velocity of the subject image using the image data; and control means that on the basis of the set angle of view, the movable range and determined movement velocity, generates information of exposure time possible when tracking and photographing the subject image, and on the basis of the information of the generated possible exposure time and determined movement velocity, generates drive information for controlling the drive means.
