Abstract:
To realize power saving in driving control of a diaphragm device.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus such as a digital camera comprises camera mode detecting means; shutter button detecting means, and shutter button state time measuring means. The imaging apparatus is characterized to switch between a turn-on state and a turn-off state of a diaphragm driving motor according to a condition 1 and a condition 2 in imaging a still image during a camera operation, and to always remain the diaphragm driving motor in the turn-on state in imaging a moving image. Condition 1: when S1 is not pushed for more than or equal to a predetermined time in imaging the still image, the diaphragm driving motor is switched from the turn-on state to the turn-off state. Condition 2: when S1 is pushed in imaging the still image, the diaphragm driving motor is switched from the turn-off state to the turn-on state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
