Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of quickly setting an imaging condition and a method for controlling the imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes a first imaging unit 20 including a zoom lens optical system 22 having a zoom lens and a first imaging element 23 receiving light after passing through the zoom lens optical system 22, a second imaging unit 30 including a single focus lens optical system 32 and a second imaging element 33 receiving the light after passing through the single focus lens optical system 32, a first MDA 21 driving a lens included in the zoom lens optical system 22, to adjust a zoom and a focus, a second MDA 31 driving the lens included in the single focus lens optical system 32, to adjust the focus, and a control part 50 controlling one of the imaging units, based on the imaging setting or imaging result of the other.
