An imaging apparatus includes: photographing systems (11 to 13) photographing an image; a flash portion 33 emitting light in the case of photographing; a DRAM 14 holding the image obtained by photographing; a CPU 24 photographing a first image by the photographing systems (11 to 13) without light emission in the flash portion 33 at prescribed shutter speed, photographing a second image by the photographing systems (11 to 13) without the light emission in the flash portion 33 at shutter speed higher than the prescribed shutter speed and photographing a third image by the photographing systems (11 to 13) with the light emission in the flash portion 33 at the shutter speed higher than the prescribed shutter speed; and an image processing unit 15 calculating a first shift amount by performing positioning with the first and second images, which the DRAM 14 holds, calculating a second shift amount by performing positioning with the second and third images, which the DRAM 14 holds, and performing positioning with the first and third images, which the DRAM 14 holds, and obtaining a synthesized image by using the calculated first and second shift amounts.
