Abstract:
To contain a subject moving at high speed within an angle of view, while accelerating reading of an image.
An imaging apparatus 1 comprises an imaging unit 11, a segmentation range determination unit 62, and a segmentation output unit 63. The imaging unit 11 images a subject. The segmentation range determination unit 62 determines, on the basis of data on a subject image taken by the imaging unit 11, a segmentation range of segmenting a taken image including the subject image. The segmentation output unit 63 causes an image sensor 45 to output data on the image within the segmentation range determined by the segmentation range determination unit 62.
