Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform appropriate exposure, including appropriate exposure time setting to each imaging device, when alternately reading out pixel signals from two imaging devices.SOLUTION: In a single-lens reflex camera, having an AE sensor and an image sensor and configured to selectively read out one of a pixel signal (first pixel signal) read out from the AE sensor and a pixel signal (second pixel signal) read out from the image sensor by a signal processing device, exposure for the AE sensor is started before the completion of the pixel signal readout from the image sensor, in the case of continuous imaging. On completion of an AE sensor exposure period E, a stored charge is transferred to a vertical transfer unit, so as to be temporarily retained therein.
