Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and an imaging method, which can easily perform operation for adjusting a luminance value of a specified area in a captured image.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: selecting means for selecting an area 212 of a first captured image 201 imaged by a first exposure value; calculating means for calculating a luminance value of the area 212 as a first luminance value; display means for displaying the first captured image 201 and highlighting an area 213 having the first luminance value in the first captured image 201; and correcting means for changing the exposure value. When the correcting means changes the exposure value from the first exposure value to a second exposure value, the calculating means calculates a second luminance value obtained by a change of the first luminance value in accordance with the change from the first exposure value to the second exposure value. The display means displays a second captured image 204 imaged by the second exposure value and highlights an area having the second luminance value in the second captured image.
