Abstract:
To perform illumination control accurately, by restraining whiteout and blackout in a dynamic body advancing forward, even if there are multiple dynamic bodies at different distances from an imaging apparatus, when a luminaire is used in a dark illuminance environment like night time.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises an illumination part for irradiating a subject, an imaging part including image pick-up devices performing photoelectric conversion of incident light from the subject and outputting an electric signal, a gain adjustment section for controlling the magnitude of output signal level from the image pick-up devices, an image signal processing section for generating an image signal from a signal outputted from the gain adjustment section, a dynamic body exposure amount calculation section for detecting a dynamic body by a video signal outputted from the image signal processing section, and calculating an exposure level offset signal for a selected dynamic body, and a system control section for controlling at least one of illumination level in the illumination part, the gain in the gain adjustment section, and the exposure time of the image pick-up devices in the illumination part by using a level offset signal. The imaging apparatus selects a dynamic body of exposure control object according to the direction of movement of the dynamic body, i.e., the subject.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
