Abstract:
To provide an imaging apparatus which can image each of a plurality of high-resolution directions with priority orders, at high resolution.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: an imaging element which captures a subject image; an optical system which forms the subject image on a light-receiving surface of the imaging element; an imaging direction changing means for changing an imaging direction of an imaging unit comprising the imaging element and the optical system; resolution changing means which changes resolution of a part of image data obtained from the imaging element; and control means which acquires information on a plurality of high-resolution directions with priority orders, changes the imaging direction of the imaging unit using the imaging direction changing means for the high-resolution direction with high priority, and controls the resolution of the image data corresponding to the high-resolution direction with low priority to be increased relatively by the resolution changing means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
