Title:
IMAGING APPARATUS AND OPTICAL FILTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004032243
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an imaging apparatus capable of avoiding a mechanism for switching between an IR cut filter and a dummy glass.

An optical filter 12 disposed in front of an image sensor 16 has transparency in a wavelength range (including a visible light range) not more than 650 nm and in a range in the vicinity of 880 nm among near-infrared range and a cut-off characteristic in other near-infrared range. In the daytime when visible light is sufficiently in existence, an image signal of an object based on the visible light is output from the image sensor 16. At night when the visible light is not in existence, an optical image of the object based on the infrared is output from the image sensor 16 by emitting the infrared light to the object.
