Title:
IMAGING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004247969
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an imaging apparatus in which an initialization time is shortened when an imaging mode is set and the occurrence of out-of-focus is prevented by recuring the precision of focus.

A decision is made whether a focal position detection signal is HIGH or not and the operation is repeated while moving a focal point optical system in the focus near direction if it is not HIGH otherwise the focal point optical system is moved in the focus inf direction. A decision is then made whether the focal position detection signal is LOW or not and the operation is repeated while moving the focal point optical system in the focus inf direction if it is not LOW otherwise a focus containing position is set at an imaging mode set position. Thereafter, a decision is then made whether a zoom position detection signal is LOW or not, and the operation is repeated while moving the focal point optical system in the zoom containing direction if it is not LOW otherwise the focal point optical system is set at a zoom containing position thus completing an imaging mode release operation.
