To provide an imaging apparatus which is excellent in shock resistance and is downsized.

The imaging apparatus 1 includes: an imaging substrate 11 on the object side of which an imaging device 12 is mounted; an optical unit 20 including lenses 22, 23 and 24 forming an image with subject light on the imaging device 12; and a drive unit 30 including blades 33, 34 and 35 adjusting the subject light made incident on the lenses 22, 23 and 24, a stepping motor 36 that is the drive source of the blades 33, 34 and 35, and a motor substrate 39a supplying drive power from the imaging substrate 11 to the stepping motor 36. The optical unit 20 is provided on the imaging substrate 11, the drive unit 30 is provided on the optical unit 20 in such a state that it is separated from the imaging substrate 11, and the motor substrate 39a is provided on the drive unit 30 so as to be opposed to the imaging substrate 11. A solder 41 for electrically connecting the imaging substrate 11 and the motor substrate 39a each other is arranged between the imaging substrate 11 and the motor substrate 39a.
