A control part (300) controls an auxiliary light part (104), when an illumination emission mode is selected by an operation part (350), to emit light in a first illumination state to illuminate a whole subject, controls lens drive part (315) to focus at the subject based on a detection result of a focal point detection part when an imaging preparation status is indicated by the operation part (350) while an illumination emission mode is being selected, displays the vicinity of a part of the subject onto a display part (132) by enlarging, controls an auxiliary light part (104), emits light in a second illumination state to illuminate the vicinity of a part of the subject, controls the auxiliary light part (104) to emit light in the first illumination state when an imaging is instructed by the operation part (350) to image the subject.
