The imaging apparatus includes: a CCD image sensor 120; an image processing section 122; a liquid crystal monitor 123; and a control section. The CCD image sensor 120 images an object image and generates image information. The image processing section 122 performs a diorama filter processing on a designated region in the imaged image information. The image processing section 122 enlarges at least a part of a region except for the designated region in response to an operation signal from an operation section in the image information after the diorama filter processing. The liquid crystal monitor 123 displays a blurred image after the diorama filter processing, and an enlarged image at least a partial section of which is enlarged on the basis of the image information after the diorama filter processing. The control section controls at least one of the CCD image sensor 120, the image processing section 122 and the liquid crystal monitor 123.
