An imaging apparatus comprises: a housing 10 demarcating an outside contour and having a cylindrical part 11a; a lens barrel LU arranged in the cylindrical part and demarcating an optical axis; a unit base UB arranged in the housing; a mounting substrate CB fixed to the unit base; a light emitter 20; and a light guide 30 which is for guiding the light emitted from the light emitter to the outside of the housing and is arranged in the housing. The light emitter 20 is mounted on the mounting substrate CB, the cylindrical part 11a of the housing includes openings 11g to 11j opened in a direction substantially perpendicular to the optical axis, and the light guide 30 includes incident surfaces 31a to 34a on which the light emitted from the light emitter is made incident and light-emitting surfaces 31b to 34b which are for emitting the light in the direction substantially perpendicular to the optical axis through the openings and face the openings. Thus, the visibility of the light emitted from the light-emitting surfaces can be improved.
