Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus having a high-magnification zoom function, capable of allowing a user not to lose a photogenic subject easily when performing a through-image display.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: imaging means for photographing a photogenic subject and generating image data; optical zoom or digital zoom means; AE means for automatically adjusting an exposure value when displaying a through-image; AWB means for automatically adjusting a white balance when displaying a through-image; first zoom operation means for zooming in a wide-angle side when performing a specific operation and for zooming in a telescopic side when performing another operation; second zoom operation means for zooming in a wide-angle side when pressing a specific button and for returning the zoom position to where it was before the move when releasing the button; and control means for continuously performing the AE and AWB after operating the first zoom operation means and for fixing the exposure value and the white balance to the value before operating the zoom during period from pressing the second zoom operation means to releasing the means.
