PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict a set item to be operated next by a user at high accuracy.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: a photographing condition setting unit capable of successively setting a plurality of photographing conditions during photography preparation operation; an acquisition unit for acquiring at least one of a plurality of pieces of photography-associated information during the photography preparation operation; a history database creation unit for creating history database by associating information of a plurality of photographing conditions successively set by the photographing condition setting unit during the photography preparation operation, information concerned with the set order, and the photography-associated information acquiring during the photography preparation operation by the acquisition unit, and storing the associated information in each photographing operation succeeding the photography preparation operation; a prediction part for finding out a photographing condition predicted to be set next to the set photographing condition by retrieving the history database on the basis of the photography-associated information acquired during the photography preparation operation by the acquisition unit and the photographing condition information set by the photographing condition setting unit during the photography preparation operation; and a display unit for displaying the photographing condition predicted by the prediction unit.
