Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of taking an image in a high dynamic range by using an image pickup device of a low dynamic range.SOLUTION: A phase difference detection section 11 is constituted of a pixel for focus detection embedded in an image pickup device. A lens control section 12 controls an imaging lens to move forward/backward in an optical axis direction based on the phase difference signal 101 to adjust the focus. An imaging section 13 performs imaging to simultaneously output one frame which includes a picture signal 103 of high exposure amount and a picture signal 104 of low exposure amount. An image composition section 14 combines the picture signal 103 of high exposure amount and the picture signal 104 of low exposure amount to generate an HDR image 105.
