Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which detects a travel environment and properly sets imaging conditions on the basis of detected travel environment data, in an on-vehicle camera.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is boarded on a vehicle and comprises: an input unit for inputting information relating to the speed the vehicle; an imaging unit for imaging the outside of the vehicle; and an imaging controller which changes the imaging conditions of the imaging unit when the information relating to the speed of the vehicle varies. When the information relating to the speed of the vehicle varies, the imaging controller changes the imaging speed of the imaging unit or changes the thinning-out ratio of pixels in the imaging unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
