Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which calls user's attention when the number of times of access to a nonvolatile memory exceeds a predetermined threshold.SOLUTION: A camera having a mode for performing image processing while using a correction parameter that is stored in a first nonvolatile memory, comprises a second nonvolatile memory that is different from the first nonvolatile memory. The permitted number of times of access to the first nonvolatile memory is recorded in the second nonvolatile memory beforehand. An imaging apparatus comprises: means for accessing the first nonvolatile memory in order to acquire a correction parameter corresponding to a lens that is used for imaging; means for counting how many times the first nonvolatile memory is accessed; and means for comparing the permitted number of times of access with the counted number of times of access. The imaging apparatus also comprises means for notifying a user of that image processing using a correction parameter in the first nonvolatile memory cannot be executed when a comparison result indicates that the number of times of access exceeds the permitted number of times of access.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
