Abstract:
To provide an imaging apparatus capable of acquiring high-precision Stokes parameters.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes an illuminator for outputting circularly polarized light, a first quarter wave plate, a second quarter wave plate, a plurality of objective lenses, an imaging device having at least two pixel groups, and a processing circuit. The fast axis and the slow axis of the first quarter wave plate are respectively inclined 45 degrees with respect to the fast axis and the slow axis of the second quarter wave plate. The first pixel, the second pixel, the third pixel, and the fourth pixel of the pixel group have polarization transmission axes of 0 degree, 45 degrees, 90 degrees, and 135 degrees, respectively. In each of the pixel groups, the imaging apparatus acquires a pixel value at the first pixel, the second pixel, the third pixel, and the fourth pixel by receiving circularly polarized light with the pixel group via the first quarter wave plate or the second quarter wave plate and the plurality of objective lenses. The processing circuit calculates a Stokes parameter on the basis of each pixel value of the pixel group.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
