Abstract:
To set a high-speed baud rate as much as possible in a short time to be used in start-stop synchronization type communication between a camera main body and an accessory device.SOLUTION: An imaging device 200 has: a camera communication unit 208 that provides a communication channel between an accessory device 100 and the camera communication unit; and a camera control unit 205 that conducts clock synchronization type communication and start-stop synchronization type communication with the accessory device via the communication channel. The camera control unit is configured to, by the clock synchronization type communication, transmit information on a camera fastest baud rate usable in the start-stop synchronization type communication by the camera control unit to the accessory device; receive information on a plurality of accessory candidate baud rates acquired based on the camera fastest baud rate from the accessory device, and usable in the start-stop synchronization type communication by the accessory device; and conduct the start-stop synchronization type communication, using a use baud rate set based on the plurality of accessory candidate baud rates.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
