Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten data transfer time and to prevent deterioration of image quality.SOLUTION: A pixel section 201 includes a plurality of pixels, and a horizontal signal circuit 202 selectively drive-controls the pixels and outputs first and second voltage signals from the pixel section. Vertical signal circuits 203a and 203b A/D-convert the first and second voltage signals and selectively output first and second image data as the first and second image data, respectively. A digital processing circuit 204 generates a control evaluation value in accordance with at least one of the first and second image data and controls a horizontal signal circuit and a vertical signal circuit in accordance with the control evaluation value. The pixel section, the horizontal signal circuit and the vertical signal circuit are formed on the same substrate and the digital processing circuit is formed on a different substrate.
