To provide an imaging condition setting method capable of setting an imaging condition enabling acquisition of a correct identification result at high speed, even when an incorrect identification result has been obtained.
The imaging condition setting method for setting the imaging condition of an image for use to identify an object includes: an object identification step S1-1 for identifying the object using the image; an identifiable range generation step S1-3 for generating an identifiable range which is an imaging condition range capable of identifying the object; an identical identification result range generation step S1-2 for generating an identical identification result range which is an imaging condition range to identify the object is identical; an imaging condition set rule generation step S1-4 for generating an imaging condition set rule which is a rule to modify the imaging condition, using the identifiable range and the identical identification result range; and an imaging condition set step S2-4 for setting the imaging condition capable of identifying the object, using the imaging condition set rule generated in the imaging condition set rule generation step.
