Abstract:
To provide a technique for, when images output from a plurality of imaging apparatuses are combined and displayed on a display device, appropriately reducing power consumption of the imaging apparatuses.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus of the present invention includes: a plurality of image processing units configured to output images obtained by imaging an object respectively in different directions; a generating unit configured to combine images output to thereby generate a combined image; a recording unit configured to record the combined image in a recording medium; an acquiring unit configured to acquire display range information; and a control unit configured to control the image processing unit to drive in the first mode, the image processing unit outputting an image corresponding to a displayed range in the combined image, and to control the image processing unit to drive in a second mode whose power is saved as compared with the first mode, the image processing unit outputting an image corresponding to a non-displayed range in the combined image, on the basis of the display range information during the combined image is not recorded in the recording medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
