PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a technology of suppressing, in composing a plurality of images photographed for each of subject areas, generation of an image without the presence of a main subject.SOLUTION: An imaging device includes: photographing means capable of photographing a first image photographed by imaging means while light is emitted from flashing means, and a second image photographed by the imaging means while light is not emitted from the flashing means; composing means for composing the first image and the second image; determination means for determining a light irradiation state to the first image on the basis of brightness of the first image; display means for displaying images on display media; recording means for recording images on recording media; and control means for controlling to output the image composed by the composing means to the display means or the recording means when the determination means has determined that the light irradiation state satisfies a predetermined criterion, and output the first image to the display means or the recording means when the determination means has determined that the light irradiation state does not satisfy the predetermined criterion.
