Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of correctly detecting an insertion/removal state of an infrared cut filter with respect to a photographing optical path without being affected by a change in ambient light.SOLUTION: An imaging device 100 includes an imaging optical system 101, an imaging element 103, an image processing unit 104 for converting an image signal outputted from the imaging element 103 into image data, an infrared cut filter 102 for blocking infrared rays included in light incident on the imaging element 103, a filter drive unit 106 for inserting and removing the infrared cut filter 102 into/from a photographing optical path, an infrared illumination 108 for irradiating infrared rays to a photographing range, and a detection unit 105 for detecting a signal strength of infrared rays from image data obtained when the infrared illumination 108 is illuminated with a prescribed light emission pattern. The detection unit 105 further determines whether the infrared cut filter 102 is inserted in the photographing optical path on the basis of the detected signal strength of the infrared rays.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
