Abstract:

To provide an imaging device capable of performing focus calibration with high reliability.

An imaging device includes: imaging means 24, 41 that performs photoelectric conversion on a subject image formed by a photographing optical system 10 and generates an image signal; first detection means 40 that detects a first focus position by a phase difference detection method based on a pair of image signals; control means 40 that controls a position of a focus lens 10a based on the first focus position; second detection means 40 that detects a second focus position by a contrast detection method based on the image signal; calculation means 40 that calculates a correction value to correct the first focus position during photographing based on a difference between the first focus position and the second focus position; and determination means 40 that determines reliability of the first focus position by using information about the pair of image signals. The calculation means calculates the correction value when the reliability is at a first level, and restricts the calculation of the correction value when the reliability is at a second level lower than the first level.
