The imaging device comprises: image data generation means for generating image data by the line units of a display part on the basis of the output of an imaging sensor the start and end of charge accumulation of which are controlled by line units; display control means for allowing the display part to sequentially display the generated image data by the line units; and control means for controlling the charge accumulation of an imaging object line to be ended after the lapse of a first time since controlling the charge accumulation to be started, and for controlling the display of the image data of the display object line corresponding to the imaging object line to be started after the lapse of a second time since controlling the charge accumulation of the imaging object line to be ended. The second time is a time required since the charge accumulation of the imaging object line is ended until the display of the image data is started in the display object line. The control means controls the charge accumulation of the imaging object line to be started such that the first time is equal to or less than (the vertical synchronization period of the imaging sensor-the second time).
