Abstract:
To provide an imaging apparatus capable of obtaining excellent coloring and decoloring characteristics by an organic EC element by suppressing the temperature rise of the organic EC element.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 101 includes an organic EC element 1 which adjusts the quantity of light reaching an imaging element 110 and can change the transmittance of the light, an ND filter 111 which is arranged closer to a subject side than the organic EC element 1, adjusts the quantity of the light reaching the imaging element 110, and can be inserted into/removed from the effective optical path of the light reaching the imaging element 110, a thermometer 113 which detects the temperature state of the organic EC element 1, and a system control circuit 200 which controls the transmittance of the organic EC element 1 and the insertion/removal of the ND filter 111 according to the temperature state detected by the thermometer 113.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
