To provide an imaging device capable of stabilizing a change in luminance of a screen both in the case that the luminance of the entire screen changes and in the case that a specific scene or subject is detected.
The imaging device includes an imaging part for imaging a subject, a first calculation part for calculating an exposure value from image data obtained by imaging by the imaging part to calculate a first exposure differential value being a difference between the calculated exposure value and a target exposure value, a second calculation part for calculating a correction value for correcting the first exposure differential value when a specific scene or a specific subject is detected from the image data obtained by imaging by the imaging part, a determination part for determining a second exposure differential value on the basis of the first exposure differential value and the correction value, and a control part for controlling a speed for converging on exposure corresponding to the target exposure value so as to be slower as the ratio of an occupying correction value to the second exposure differential value increases.
