To provide an imaging apparatus by which a user can take his/her picture and background and by which a natural composition photo picture can be obtained.
An imaging apparatus includes: a display means displaying an image; a first imaging means imaging a bust of a photographer in the same direction as a display direction of the display means to acquire first image data; a second imaging means imaging background image in an opposite direction to the first imaging means to acquire second image data; a bust image acquisition means acquires a plurality of first image data including the bust of the photographer whose background is different from that obtained by the first imaging means; a bust image extracting means analyzing a difference between the plurality of first image data and removing the different part to extract the bust image of the photographer; and an image synthesis means displaying the second image data imaged by the second imaging means on the display means and synthesizing the bust image extracted by the bust image extracting means at any position designated on the display image.
