The imaging apparatus according to the present invention comprises a pedometer portion 27 for detecting swings accompanied with walking performance and counting the number of walking steps, an imaging system composed of an optical lens unit 31 for imaging a picture of an object, a CCD 30, a CCD driver 20, and a picture photographing portion 21. The various keys 32 set up a unit of a predetermined number of steps. The broadcast means determines whether a counted value of the pedometer portion 27 reaches to the established unit of the predetermined number of steps, and performs a broadcast for prompting photographing by the imaging system according to the determination result.
