Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter device and an imaging device that can attain a stable operation of a brake mechanism.SOLUTION: A shutter device includes a brake member that converts a kinetic energy of at least one set of shutter blade groups to a friction heat energy to thereby attenuate the kinetic energy of a blade drive member driving the shutter blade group, in which the brake member is moved to an abutting start position of the blade drive member during a period from reception of an exposure start instruction to an exposure operation start. Preferably, an imaging device may comprise the shutter device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
