To provide an imaging apparatus for realizing a control flow of an auto-focusing restart linked with an operational situation of a photographer without requiring complicated operations in the imaging apparatus configured by using a zoom lens capable of photographing by auto-focusing and photographing by manual focusing and performing control to temporarily stopping auto-focusing when focusing is manually performed.
The imaging apparatus adopts the configuration of the control flow in which auto-focusing is stopped when a manual focusing operation is performed in the zoom lens under auto-focusing and all of or any one of a change of sharpness to be sued for focusing evaluation or an operation of a zoom operating means or a change in an output signal of a vibration detecting means to be applied to the imaging apparatus is defined as a trigger to restart auto-focusing control.
