Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of improving the operability of an imaging device without suspending the imaging by an imaging element, and of saving power, by setting a start condition and a termination condition of reading at a sub stream.SOLUTION: An imaging device has an electronic view finder function for displaying an image on an image display part by reading a main stream. In a case where it is determined that a state of a subject is changed from image data acquired at the main stream, and in a case where a photographing mode is changed to the other photographing mode by a user operation, reading of the sub stream at a higher speed than that for the main stream is started. When a reading termination condition, which is preliminarily defined depending on a reading start condition, is satisfied, control is performed to terminate the reading of the sub stream.
