Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the timing of calculating an azimuth from being limited and to accurately calculate an azimuth.SOLUTION: A current detection circuit 117 detects working currents which may affect a ground magnetic sensor 116, such as a driving current of a lens 100, a driving current of a diaphragm 102, a driving current of a mechanical shutter 104, a driving current of a mirror 105, a driving current of an imaging sensor 103, a charging current of a stroboscope 112, a light-emitting current of the stroboscope 112, and a driving current of a display device 111. While an imaging azimuth is calculated, a microcomputer 113 monitors an output of the current detection circuit 117. In the case where the output of the current detection circuit 117 is less than a predetermined value, it is determined that influences to be exerted upon the ground magnetic sensor 116 are small, and the imaging azimuth is calculated using the ground magnetic sensor 116. In the case where the output of the current detection circuit 117 is equal to or greater than the predetermined value, it is determined that the influences to be exerted upon the ground magnetic sensor 116 are great, and the imaging azimuth is calculated using a gyro sensor 115.
