Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select whether to turn on/off a display unit of a touch panel, with good operability.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: touch detection means of detecting touch operation on a display unit; a display section which selects a display direction from among at least an imaging direction of an imaging unit and an opposite direction; switching means of switching a state of the display unit between first state where the display unit displays a predetermined item for receiving touch operation and second state where the predetermined item is not displayed; and control means which does not change the state from the second state to the first state, when the display unit is in the second state and the opposite direction is selected as a display direction of the display unit, even when a touch operation is performed on the display unit, or changes the state from the second state to the first state, in accordance with the touch operation on the display unit, when the display unit is in the second state and the imaging direction is selected as the display direction of the display unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
