Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device having a structure in which light leakage at a diaphragm mechanism is difficult to occur, and a size reduction is easily achieved.SOLUTION: A camera (100) includes an imaging element, a lens, a diaphragm mechanism (120), and an exposure adjustment part (160). The diaphragm mechanism includes three liquid crystal plates (121a to 121c) arranged substantially in the optical axis direction of the lens. The exposure adjustment part adjusts the quantity of light passing through the lens and reaching the imaging element by controlling the orientation of liquid crystal contained in each liquid crystal plate.
