PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device for a mobile that can image a target object at a proper size even when a mobile object having the imaging device mounted therein moves, and thus enables stable recognition of an imaged object.SOLUTION: A zoom magnification calculation device 10 calculates the value of a zoom magnification used in a zoom driving circuit 11 of an imaging device 501 which is mounted in a mobile 201 and images an object 203 around the mobile 201. The zoom magnification calculation device 10 has a storage part 301 for storing information representing a delay time of a zoom operation, and an operation part 304 for calculating the value of the zoom magnification. By using a first relative distance of the object 203 to the mobile 201, the delay time of the zoom operation and the moving speed of the mobile 201 when information instructing zoom-imaging of the object 203 is input, the operation part 304 calculates a second relative distance at which the mobile 201 approaches to the object 203 from the first relative distance, and calculates the value of the zoom magnification on the basis of the second relative distance.
