Abstract:
Provided are an imaging device and a subject inspection method that uses the imaging device that make it possible to simultaneously perform height information inspection and color information inspection. An imaging device that comprises: a light source that radiates invisible light rays; an imaging part that captures an image of a subject that has been irradiated with the invisible light rays; a height acquisition part that acquires height information for locations within a prescribed region of the subject from the invisible light ray image captured of the subject; a color acquisition part that acquires color information for locations within the prescribed region of the subject from the image captured of the subject; and a synthesis part that, on the basis of the height information and the color information, maps the color information onto the height information for identical locations and thereby synthesizes the height information and the color information.
