Abstract:
To solve the problem in which a demand for an entire celestial sphere and stereo image is growing due to development of a VR goggle and the like, and a plurality of cameras lined on a circumference of a circle, and capable of preparing the stereo image of the entire celestial sphere have been known, and further, a revolving part is provided in a housing center part for dealing with a wide range picture-taking situation, and thereby a technique about a portable telephone capable of acquiring the stereo image and a "panorama" image has been disclosed, but preparation of respective individual cameras is required.SOLUTION: A special imaging device 1a is an imaging device that synthesizes a first image obtained by a first image pick-up element with a second image obtained by a second image pick-up element to thereby prepare an entire celestial sphere image. The imaging device has: a revolving part 174a that changes a picture-taking direction of a picture-taking unit 171b provided with the second image-pick-up element; and switching means that switches a first picture-taking mode for taking a picture of an entire celestial sphere and a second picture-taking mode for not taking the picture of the entire celestial sphere on the basis of the change in the picture-taking direction by the revolving part 174a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
