To provide an imaging device that enables a driven member to be driven at a high speed, accuracy of a stop position of the driven member to be improved and allows a driving sound of the driven member to be decreased.

The imaging device comprises: a sensor that detects a rotor position of a motor driving a driven member causing diaphragm blades to be opened and closed; a first driving means that drives the motor by changing over a current-carrying direction to a coil in accordance with a detection result; a second driving means that drives the motor by changing over the current-carrying direction to the coil in accordance with an input driving pulse interval; a changeover circuit for the driving means; and a control means that controls the changeover circuit so that, at a time when operating the driven member from a stand-by position to a shooting start initial position when turned on, the motor is driven by the second driving means and then, the motor is driven by the first driving means and again the motor is driven to be stopped by the second driving means and, during displaying of an image on a display section and while shooting, the motor is driven only by the second driving means.
