Title:
IMAGING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012095143
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent a user from taking a photograph in a night mode wrongly under a normal photographing environment where an illuminance enabling photographing in a normal photographing mode can be obtained, in an imaging device having no photographing mode automatic changeover function.

When a user tries to take a photograph in a night mode wrongly under a normal photographing environment (YES at a step S1 and YES at a step S2), since an illuminance under the photographing environment becomes larger than an illuminance under a photographing environment such as in nighttime or the like in which photographing in the night mode should be performed, and a minimum gain value for nighttime and an exposure time for nighttime are larger than a minimum gain value for normal photographing and a minimum exposure time for normal photographing, a microcomputer determines the over exposure based on these values (YES at a step S5). Therefore, the microcomputer issues warnings so that the user does not take a photograph in the night mode (at a step S6), and performs control so as to disable imaging processing (cancels the imaging processing) (at a step S7).
