An imaging device 1 according to the present invention comprises: a light beam division part 11 that divides a light beam from an optical system into a first direction and a second direction; a first image pickup element 41 that receives the light beam of the first direction having a first image pickup pixel 41P two-dimensionally arrayed; and a second image pickup element 42 that receives the light beam of the second direction having a second image pickup pixel 42P two-dimensionally arrayed and having focus detection pixels 43L and 43R arranged in the array of the second image pickup pixel 42P. By a signal of the first image pickup pixel 41P in the first image pickup element 41, record imaging is performed. By signals of the focus detection pixels 43L and 43R in the second image pickup element 42, a focus detection is performed and by a signal of the second image pickup pixel 42P, information for determining a photographing condition is acquired.
