Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an appropriate imaging condition in a short time to reduce a load on a photographer.SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: imaging means which has a plurality of light-receiving elements 14, aperture adjustment means 13 for adjusting a quantity incident light on the plurality of light-receiving elements 14 in a stepwise fashion by adjusting an aperture of a lens 11 and an A/D converter 16a for digitally converting electric signals obtained by the plurality of light-receiving elements to a plurality of pixel signals, and imaging an image upon receiving imaging instructions; maximum pixel signal detection means 17b for detecting a maximum value of the plurality of pixel signals output from the A/D converter; maximum value matching means 17c for matching the maximum value with a maximum output value of the A/D converter; and aperture change means 17d for causing the aperture adjustment means 17c to change an aperture of the lens to a one step large aperture when the maximum value coincides with the maximum output value of the A/D converter as a result of matching by the maximum value matching means.
