Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a continuous shooting speed from being delayed in an imaging device controlling an accumulation time of light to be received by an image pickup element upon shooting, using an electronic front curtain and a rear blade of a focal plane shutter.SOLUTION: An imaging device has: a shutter 3 that is composed of a shutter blade group travelling from a position of opening an aperture part when exposing to a closing position, a blade lever to be coupled to the shutter blade group, and a charge member holding a drive member at a prescribed position; and a control device that controls in a first drive mode driving an image pickup element 2 and the shutter 3 and in a second drive mode different from the first drive mode. Upon a continuous shot, when a release switch 99 is turned ON after a charge member moves a drive lever to a prescribed position, the image pickup element 2 and the shutter 3 are controlled in the first drive mode, and when the release switch 99 is turned OFF, the image pickup element 2 and the shutter 3 are controlled in the second drive mode.
