Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of reducing the number of times for unnecessary day-night mode changes by selecting appropriate day-night mode depending on the situation even when a transient disturbance like a headlight of a vehicle occurs.SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: imaging means 101; exposure controlling means 102; luminance calculating means 107 for calculating luminance per block; luminance determining means 108; switching means for switching image data output to day mode (color) or night mode (monochrome); day-night switching evaluation value calculating means 103 for calculating a day-night switching evaluation value on the basis of an output from the imaging means; and switching determining means 104 for determining day-night switching on the basis of the comparison results of the day-night switching evaluation value and a day-night switching threshold value. When the switching determining means determines that day-night switching is switched from night mode to day mode and luminance is higher than or equal to a prescribed value, and motion is detected, the imaging device maintains night mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
